Our Story

We are aware that many families, including our own, donate their unwanted clothes, yet conversations with friends revealed that this practice is not common among all. Instead, many opt for the simpler route of discarding old clothing. Observing the staggering statistics of textile waste production, with 92 million tonnes generated yearly, and the average US consumer discarding 81.5 lbs of clothing annually, prompted us to explore avenues to advocate for prolonging clothing lifespan. This motivation led to the establishment of Refashion, a company dedicated to repurposing clothes to minimize waste. One distinctive aspect of Refashion is its approach to audience engagement, particularly through hosting local events and donating portions of our profits to envorinment organizations.

Shweta Kale

Chief Executive Officer

Hi! My name is Shweta Kale and I am a sophomore at Marriotts Ridge High School. I act as the CEO in this business and will make sure that ReFashion will help better the environment. I hope to pursue a career in the business and finance field.

Chief Marketing Officer

Titilayo Jaji

Hi! My name is Titilayo Jaji and I am a junior at Reservoir High School. As the Chief Marketing Officer of ReFashion, I plan to promote our business through different media outlets. I hope to pursue a career in Business Administration and IT.
